Resawing is a woodworking technique that involves cutting a board lengthwise into thinner boards, often used to make “bookends” where opposing grain is a mirage image of itself or for economical purposes of buying thick. rough cut wood and then slicing it into thinner boards for projects.
This selection of custom resawing tools assist woodworkers in getting the most pieces of wood out of their thick stock as possible.
Tools available include:
Resaw Key (Actual) – a key that is inserted between the bandsaw blade and fence in actual measurements of 1/4″, 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ for those who are expert resawers or those who want to see the actual measurements and then eyeball excess needed for planing. Bright green color to avoid misplacing it and comes with embedded magnets so you can just keep it attached to your band saw!
Resaw Key (+1/10″) – same as the Resaw Key (Actual) but with 1/10″ added to all measurements for those who don’t want to eyeball excess needed for planing. Bright yellow color to avoid misplacing it and comes with embedded magnets so you can just keep it attached to your band saw!
Resaw Adjust-A-Comb – a custom adjustable feathering device that fits into your t-slot or standard miter slots and secures with two Powertec 5 Star Knobs. Also includes t-bolts for those who want the Adjust-A-Comb to remain fixed in the t-slot.
Resaw Pull – a specially designed wide pull that allows for easy guiding and a solid, balanced pressure on the wood block enabling a smooth, consistent pull that can result in a more even cut and less planing.
All tools are customed designed and manufactured in Beavercreek, Ohio of US and globally sourced materials. Filament will transition to US made only as inventory allows.
